1. How do I copy a music CD?
The MP3 CD Burner is designed to rip or import select MP3 tracks and burn custom music CDs.
You can copy music CDs by loading a music CD in a CD drive, clicking the "Rip Tracks" button (or Ctrl+R) and then clicking Ctrl+B to burn the audio CD.
(The main problem that might result is that if the source CD is a mix CD or continuous CD where the tracks fade into each other, it will lose that effect when going to the next CD, although if you have it set to fade tracks with a short fade via the "Fader" it will sound close.)

2. How do I fit more songs on a CD?
There are two important types of CDs that you can burn.
Audio CDs (playable in older CD players)
MP3 CDs (play in CDs with the MP3 logo)
An Audio CD can only hold 74 or 80 minutes of audio
An MP3 CD can hold MP3s and it goes by file size, rather than length of audio. Instead of 80 minutes, it holds, 700 Megabytes (MB) of music. The MP3 quality will determine how much audio will fit. In practice, it usually is 10 times more, ie: 800 minutes. The number of songs will be dependent on how large the songs are.
To burn an MP3 CD, click the "MP3 CD" radio button on the "Song List"
If you have a DVD burner, you can put in a recordable DVD and get up to 7 times more than on a CD recorder. (4.7 GB of space!)

3. How do I change to MP3 CD mode?
The MP3 CD Burner defaults to Audio CD mode which burns audio CDs playable in most standard CD players.
To switch to MP3 CD mode, click the "MP3 CD" radio button.
Alternatively, select "MP3 CD Mode" from the "Song List" menu.
It burns to slow - How do I speed it up?
This depends on what type of CD you are creating.
If you are creating an MP3 CD, click on the MP3 CD wizard icon on the right side of the "Arrange Songs List" and click "Next". Then select "Fast" and click "Finish". Note that in fast mode, song/track order cannot be preserved and all conversions will be skipped.
Otherwise, when you click burn, make sure that the burner mode is set to "Burn CD!" and that the burner speed is set to "Max".

4. How can I squeeze more songs on an MP3 CD?
If you aren't in a hurry, you can Acoustica MP3 CD Burner reconvert any files that are over a specific bit rate.
Start the "MP3 CD Wizard" by clicking the wizard icon on the "Arrange Song List". Make sure you are in "MP3 CD" mode, first.
Select "Next"
Choose "Specify (for greatest control)"
Click "Next"
Make sure that MP3 is selected. If your MP3 CD player supports WMA, check the "WMA" checkbox
On the "MP3 Settings" page, change the max bit rate "Bit rate cannot be higher than" to something like 96 kbps. Anything that is higher than 96 kbps will get auto-converted to 96 kbps.
Click "Next" 2 times, followed by "Finish"
When you finish the wizard, you'll notice that you suddenly have allot more space available. Keep in mind that it will take much longer to burn the MP3 CD due to the conversion stage necessary.

5. How many songs can I put on an audio CD?
You are limited to 74 minutes of audio per recorded audio CD. If you have an 80 minute blank CD-R, you can record up to 80 minutes if your CD recorder drive supports it. (The actual time of an 80 minute CD is 79 minutes and 30 seconds of audio, though.)
To burn an 80 minute CD with MP3 CD Burner, make sure that your CD-recorder supports 80 minute audio CDs. Not all CD-recorders support 80 minute CDRs! If you are not sure, consult your CD-recorder’s documentation or visit the manufacturer’s website for help.
By default, the software will automatically sense the capacity of any blank media that you put into your cd recorder, so if you don't want to think about it, just put in a blank CD while you are creating your song list to burn. (Make sure that the CD size next to "Arrange Song List" is "Audio CD (Detect Size)"
Make sure that the drop down on the "Arrange Song List" is set to Audio CD (80 min)

6. My mix CD does not fade between tracks!
If you've created a mix CD where the tracks fade into each other but its not playing correctly, make sure you don't have the shuffle feature turned on on your audio CD player!

7. How can I stop the software from dialing up the Internet when a new CD is inserted?
When an unknown CD is put a CD drive, Acoustica MP3 CD Burner attempts to look it up on FREEDB.ORG to get the track information. To disable this, click the Preference item from File menu, then select "Remote Database" and uncheck the "Automatically get album info" (If you would like to lookup the CD info, simply click the "Look Up" button on the CD tab.
